There is something about Spring. To be honest, it is not my favorite time of the year. That belongs to Fall when the air is crisp and the leaves are a wondrous kaleidoscope of color. But spring also has it’s own shock and awe moments.
The bulbs planted so many years ago in our garden open once again to herald the arrival of the season. The leaves bud green and the birds start new families. So much of life is renewed. Many things that are old become new again and there aren’t many times in life when we can say that.
Tomorrow we spring forward by winding our clocks ahead to extend our sunlight and lengthen our days. I hope you will also spring forward with God and restore your spirit this season of Lent as our hearts are renewed and as we work through the days leading up to the celebration of our Lord’s resurrection. To spring forward in Christ is to spring forward in grace and to lengthen your days forever. That’s a wonderful thing.
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1
