I have often been asked to give my testimony. For anyone raised in the South, you know that means telling how you came to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Honestly, I don’t have a testimony…certainly not one that is terribly dramatic. I sometimes think I came screaming out of the womb with a loud Hallelujah. Jesus has always been a part of my life. Like breathing, eating and sleeping. I never questioned His existence. I never doubted my faith. I just knew.
Bringing in the Sheaves is a very old gospel song (think 1800’s) and yet sung to this day by many churches. I love the old hymns but I really love this particular song.
Going forth with weeping, sowing for the Master,
Though the loss sustained our spirit often grieves;
When our weeping’s over,
He will bid us welcome,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.
Whether this blog is read by one or by many, I simply want a chance to share my faith. To love my Lord. To develop my story. To have a testimony. What could be better than that?
